Just over two years ago we moved from Utah to Middle Georgia. I had never heard of Cheerwine. Then a friend of mine turned me to this beverage and of course what did Chef Brian do? I thought, “What type of BBQ sauce could I turn this into?”

Cheerwine in a Can

What is Cheerwine? Well, I heard it said by someone that if Cherry Coke and Dr. Pepper ever had a baby, it would be called Cheerwine. If you can remember who it was, drop me a line in the comments and I would be delighted to give that person credit.

What I love about this recipe is that it’s a wonderful sweet-heat BBQ sauce that my wife loves. You can use this on ribs, pulled pork or chicken and even stakes if. you have to down one that isn’t seasoned so well. Give it a try and lets us know in the comments on how you used our Cheerwine BBQ Sauce!
