Chef Brian’s BBQ Sauce
If you are going to have a sauce, make it this one.
About this Recipe
Here at Marinate Me Baby, we are not really into BBQ sauces. Really. Simply said, if the meat is cooked right – you don’t need it. However, early in my married life – my wife had an obsession in covering her proteins with BBQ sauce. Primarily due to her family cooking the poor things into a hockey puck.
So, I started to make my own BBQ sauce. This sauce brought out the flavor of the meat and allowed me to cook the meat to a proper temperature. My wife was happy, I was happy.
- 1/8 Cup White Vinegar
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 1/2 Cups Ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic (grated)
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Teaspoon Hot Sauce
- 8 oz Coke (flat)
Step 1
In a medium saucepan, combine all the ingredients and cook over medium heat.
Step 2
Allow sauce to simmer until it has thickened, this will take about 20 minutes.
