Beer Braised Bratwurst with Cabbage

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 onion (halved, and sliced)
  • 1 12 oz pilsner-style beer (bottle)
  • 1/2 Medium head Savoy cabbage (sliced)
  • 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
  • Kosher Salt
  • Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons parsley (chopped, for garnish)


Step 1
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Add the bratwurst and cook brown on all sides. Add onion, and allow to cook until soften.
Step 3
Add the beer, cabbage, ad tomatoes, season with salt and pepper. Cover, and allow to cook until the cabbage is tender. This should take about 10-15 minutes.
Step 4
Garnish with parsley and Serve.
