The last time I was in San Francisco for business meetings, I walked around with a co-worker for lunch. We went around Nob Hill and found Myconos Greek. I love Greek Food – This is an excellent Greek establishment!
Greek food is simple, it has deep flavors for sure. However, it isn’t some 3,000 step process – its just simple clean flavors. Myconos get’s that. I had a fresh salad – with greek feta cheese, marinated onions with a vinaigrette and it was salty, sweet, herbaceous and a delight to eat. The onions were not overly pungent, which was good as I had a reception event later that evening back at the hotel for my company.
Pita bread comes as a standard and it is meant to be the 3rd utensil. You have a fork and knife for sure – however, the pita is meant to be dredged into the sauce and grab meat. They mentioned they make their own pita – however, it was nice and warm tasty.
Roasted Lamb Shank and Greek Potatoes completed my meal. Every bit of the meal was flavorful, it was tasty and a fantastic find.
If your in the Nob Hill area and like to try a very good greek joint, give Myconos a try!
