My Wife and I had tickets to the Hale Centre Theatre to watch The Sound of Music. We had originally were looking for a steak house that my in-laws had recommended. We arrived to the West Valley location in plenty of time for dinner before the show, and the steak place had been replaced by ‘Bout Time.
They were in their initial remodel, and thick black construction plastic covered the old decor. I am sure by now, they have completely resolved this issue. So, on to the review:
This is a Sports Bar – let’s get that straight. It is about a block and a half away from the Maverik Center (AA Hockey Venue), so it’s an excellent establishment to get your stomach full before a Utah Grizzlies game.
They have a large menu, and it is pub food. What I mean is it’s designed to go with a beer. Their food is filling, good portions and well prepared. It is not fine dining. So, if you were like us and expecting a nice stake house – this isn’t that. However, don’t let that detour you from trying it. The food is on a whole good.

Note: The sign says families are welcome, and I would have no trouble taking my 9 year old son to this joint. However, they do serve alcohol. So, if your highly offended or do not want your family exposed to this type of environment – don’t go.
