Sushi Blue is in the Redstone shopping center in Kimble Junction. This joint used to be called Happy Sumo – when we visited it had just changed it’s name and its philosophy as a ‘grill and sake house’.

Korean Street Tacos: Smoked pork “carnitas” tacos with avocado, cilantro and cotija cheese and a kimchi salsa. $7.95

I thought these had great flavor. The carnitas flavor was well developed – I enjoyed the mix of cultures Mexico and Korea. The kimchi was a great accompany with the pork.

Pad-Thai or as they call it Rad Thai: Stir-friend rice noodles and the all the basic’s (cilantro, lime, veg, peanuts and pad thai sauce) base price $10.95 with shrimp an extra $5

This isn’t a stand out dish. The wait staff would say, “this is what I get”. My opinion – skip it. You can get this at Noodles and Company.

Banh-Mi: Vietnamese Style Sandwich with jalapeño, cilantro, cucumber, pickled vegetables, garlic mayo on a fresh baguette – pork shoulder. $10

I really liked the insides of this sandwich. The fresh baguette as you can see was incredibly thick. Which in turn muted the flavors of the sandwich. I removed the bread and it became a great sandwich. I feel they could have been a little more generous with the sandwich. Now, to be fair – they illustrate it’s a Vietnamese ‘Style’ sandwich. So, buyer beware.

Seaseme Creme Brulee $5.95

The Brulee was worth the entire visit. This is no longer on their menu. Pitty.

The advertise they have a gluten-free friendly, kid friendly dining experience. They take reservations.
