Flanagan’s Irish Pub
I was in Park City, Utah for my anniversary with my wife. We had just checked into our hotel and were very hungry for something to eat! We had been to Park City before for our anniversary, so we had a pretty good lay of the land – and we were interested in trying something new.
We parked our car in the free off Main Street Parking, and walked through a long covered alley way to historic main street. Flanagan’s caught our eye. We really enjoy pub food and this looked like a nice, clean joint.
The day of our visit, The World Cup was on. The place was flush with Soccer fans screaming for their team – which I believe was Germany and some South American team. This was after all a Sports Bar, with a little high brow atmosphere – however, not to make it stogy or uncomfortable.
We ordered the following:
Hot Sauced Potato Balls with Blue Cheese Crumbles:
This tasted really good, however – at the time they seemed to have a few menu items that were not ‘traditionally’ Irish. I am glad to say, this isn’t on their current menu.
Bangers & Champ:
This had Bangers (sausage) over mashed potatoes with a flavorful Irish Brown gravy with seasonal veggies. The portion size was nice, and it was a very filling dish. $16
Irish Burger:
This was a really good Quarter-Pound Angus beef patty with quarter pound of sliced corned beef, grilled onions, swiss cheese and a horseradish mayo. $13
Overall, they had a good menu. The service was slow due to the game. The staff was attentive, and the Manager/Owner even stopped by to wish us a happy anniversary. I would go back and try other options on the menu, as well as to check out the atmosphere in the evening. Prices were very reasonable for Park City Main Street.
